An Ethical Framework

The point of an ethical framework is that you have somewhere to go should things get a little bit out of your comfort zone, or your skillset. It should be your first port of call when you are not completely sure – and sometimes when you think you ARE completely sure too. E.g. someone has had a session with you and you discover that they have used social media to say it was a bad session. What would you do?

The reason why an ethical framework is important is because the consequence of stepping out of the framework can be very severe, even life-changing, for the client, but also have implications for the practitioner too.
